About the Live Streamed Concerts ...

This concert will only be able to be viewed once you have purchased a ticket (£30 per weekend ticket…approx $US37…which can be viewed by a full household!) from www.dougiemacleanlive.com  Instructions are on the homepage. If you have already purchased a ticket make sure you have located your confirmation email with the link and passcode all ready. You can ask questions or get help only by emailing admin@butterstone.com before the commencement of a concert. 

Remember you can leave comments in the new CHAT on the live concert portal or under the Live 284 Facebook post (which we will add before the start of the first concert on Friday 31st October. 

Ticket holders can also watch the Live 284 weekend of concerts  ‘on demand’ until Monday 10th November  (…make sure you start viewing your last concert by 9.00pm UK time on that date!). If you have missed the live concerts you can purchase tickets until then....but remember there will be about SIX HOURS of viewing ...at least....so leave yourself enough time.

What's Included in the Megaticket ...
The Megaticket includes:

- the Opening Concert beginning at 8pm on Friday night (October 31st)

- the Evening Concert beginning at  8pm on Saturday night (November 1st)

- the Farewell Concert beginning at 2pm on the Sunday afternoon (November 2nd)

All times are UK times and each concert is 2 hours of performance time with a 30 minute break in the middle (approx 2.5 hours in total). We are not streaming the Afternoon Concert on the Saturday beginning at Midday as we figured 2 hours of Live Streamed music per day was enough stress for us all ... and enough musical magic for you!  All the musicians involved in the Afternoon Concert will be included in at least one of the other concerts so you won't miss out on any of our featured musicians.

 

A brief history of our Live Streamed Concerts …

We had the first broadcast of our wee live concerts on March 21st 2020 when lock-down (due to the Covid 19 epidemic ) began for us in Scotland. We broadcast free concerts from the Old Schoolhouse in Butterstone every second night for 30 concerts, then twice a week til concert Live 40…and since then weekly. There have since been over four million views (and rising!) of the free of charge’ concerts via Facebook, YouTube and X from almost 70 different counties and we know from messages and emails that Dougie’s music and stories are really helping so many to cope with the unusual and challenging  times we live in. Our ticketed concerts help us to keep the music going! So over five years later we are still regularly broadcasting on a Saturday night ... only interrupted on occasion when Dougie has a concert in a venue.

In 2022 we broadcast one half of two of the concerts during Shades of Amber 2022 and in 2023 broadcast the full two hour concerts. Having now built up a global family of viewers in over 70 different counties we want this year to be able to share three of the concerts and hopefully a couple of music sessions from Shades of Amber 2025. Purchasing a weekend MegaStream Ticket  will mean you can view all the content broadcast during the weekend for a full week following the festival. This will truly make Live 284 something to remember!
