We've hardly done any serious promotion of this year's festival yet and concerts are selling out already...or heading there!
The Crannog Concert, The Farewell Bash and Karine Polwart's concert at Murthly Castle Chapel are already sold out and Dougie with the Ross Ainslie Band in Pitlochry Town Hall, Sinsheen in Butterstone Village Hall and the SongBus are almost there. Across all the concerts tickets sales are going so well... so don't delay getting your concert tickets.
We're still working on the Amber Discoveries for this year... the guided walks, workshops, talks and demonstrations are a really important part of the programme but we want to make sure there are some fresh experiences for you all! The wonderful Handbell Ringing (free admission) will happen on the first Saturday this year at 11am upstairs at Amber Central, the Big Knit Lounge will be in the same place as last year and welcoming to all...knitters and purchasers or fine knitted goods!
The Decorated Wheelbarrow Procession is happening on Sunday 1st November with the judging happening in Stanley Hill...where there's a bit more room for agility tests and display. The Clanrannald Medieval Village, the pipe band, an outdoor music stage and the Antonine Guard (Roman soldiers!) plus storytelling and kids games...and some great food and drink should make for a truly fun afternoon for all the family.
More news soon ....
